How Does Sciton BBL Work?
The Sciton BBL treatment uses the JOULE™ X platform’s BBL® module to direct amplified laser light toward your skin. The heat from the laser beams will break apart the damaged and dead skin cells, disintegrating them completely.
The destruction of old skin cells stimulates your body to regenerate fresh skin cells in their place. What Can I Expect From My Visit to Your New York Med Spa?
We first ask you to lie down on the treatment chair. Our aesthetician will remove any make-up that you may have on, using gentle cleansers. We then evaluate your skin to understand your unique dermatological requirements and change the BBL laser settings accordingly.
We then apply a thick coat of cooling gel to your face. This protects your skin from the intense laser heat. Next, we start the laser treatment, gently covering every area of the pre-determined treatment sites.
Depending on the extensiveness of the treatment, the entire Sciton BBL procedure may take about 30-40 minutes. After the procedure, your face may be red and inflamed but this will reduce in a few hours.
You must avoid going out into the sun for a few days after the treatment. We will also provide a detailed skincare regimen that you need to follow to prevent infection as your skin heals. You will be able to see results 2-3 weeks after the procedure.
